Family home in West L.A.
Ours is a comfortable, single-level, 4-bedroom ranch house on a quiet street in West Los Angeles. The home has recently been renovated, with a new master suite, enlarged family room and home office/extra bedroom. We also have spacious yard and a long, wide '50s kitchen that's been renovated just enough to keep its original flavor intact. We are raising three young children here and welcome families with kids. There is a master bedroom with a king bed, another room with two twins, another with a twin bed, and a home office/guestroom with its own bathroom and a double-sized futon. We live in a great neighborhood that includes families of all ages and types. It is also very walkable. You can walk from the house to a park, a gourmet market (Whole Foods), a Starbucks, a cafe, a Blockbuster video store and other shops.

We live in one of the best spots in the city. We are four miles from the beach and just minutes by car from Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Westwood (home of UCLA). Disneyland is an hour to the south and Universal Studios is about 40 minutes to the east. Eating possibilities are endless -- marvelous Mexican, Persian and Japanese food, in particular, within 10 minutes drive of the house -- but any kind of cuisine you desire can be found nearby without much hassle. Parks abound, as do museums -- art museums, science and natural history museums, a car museum, the La Brea Tar Pits, and on and on. Great shopping, from expensive to cheap, and fun people-watching opportunities. You will not run out of things to do!
